In 2005, her hard rock/groove metal band, Swear On Your Life emerged on the scene. She played sang and played bass guitar in various local hard rock and grindcore bands and performed in Off Broadway, National and European tours of rock musicals. "Īfter DOA disbanded, Militia moved to New York City and quickly established herself on the scene. DOA recorded a full-length album "Embrace the Empty" and released a song on Cleopatra Records' "The Carnival Within- A Tribute to Dead Can Dance" that became a goth club favorite- "The Ubiquitous Mister Lovegrove. Then known as "Syrenne", the band played in the Northeast to packed houses of college students, drag queens, club kids, ravers, rivetheads and mall goths. It was in college that she joined her first band, Disciples of Astaroth - a gothic/industrial dance band. She has a BFA from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee (merit scholarship) for Musical Theatre with a Directing minor and tested out of Piano. (yes, that school from the docuseries on Netflix " The Keepers" ) with Tri-M Music Society honors. She graduated from all-girls Catholic high school Seton Keough In her teens, she quickly accelerated into becoming a regional and state award-winning concert pianist at Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Maryland. Recitals in malls and with concert choirs. Her music career began at age 8 with classical piano- from private study to playing The song rose to #23 on the iTunes Rock Charts, has 190K+ views on YouTube and over 300K streams worldwide in 68 countries. Her recent single, "PUSH COMES TO SHOVE" by supergroup Bad Penny features her dueting with the metal god himself, the legendary Rob Halford.
